I thought dealing with Ensogo was Calvary enough. Cash Cash Pinoy seems to have gone the extra mile shielding itself from complaints from customers.
So far I had 2 incidence with this groupon. Here is the first one....
The first one was with the Mingoy's Paella deal. I bought a voucher for a "bilao" of paella good for 10 people. When I was about to redeem the voucher, I realized, there was no contact number of the merchant in the printed voucher. I tried searching the CCP website but the deal was no longer in the "Past Deal" area. I tried to get the phone number from the internet but the numbers there of Mingoy's were not correct. Apparently, the original owner - Mingoy, died some years back and the resto was now being run as Anabel's or Amalia's(not sure which one).
I went back to CCP website to look for the customer relations number. To my horror, there is no number listed in their website. The only way anybody can contact CCP is through email. I need to make reservation right away as I need the paella the next day. I am cognizant of the fact that I will not get the reply email in a timely manner but I still sent an email inquiring about the number.
I went back to the internet and did some more searches. After about an hour of calling wrong numbers, I finally got the real Mingoy's number and was able to place my order.
CCP did get back to me with the Mingoy's number. However it was two days later. Aside from not having a contact number, the one checking the emails must be doing it on a part time basis. This is no way to run a consumer relations intensive business.

Infuriating Ensogo 2
When I discovered groupon, particularly Ensogo late last year, I got so hooked up and addicted. In fact one of my friends was taunting me after finding a stack of vouchers in my car saying I seriously need help....
One of the vouchers in the stack found by my friend was for the car aircon cleaning service being offered by Rapide. Weeks before I found the offer in Ensogo, I was planning to bring my cars to the casa to have the aircon units cleaned. So the offer was very timely and I felt luck was smiling my way. In hind sight, the opposite was the case.
As with the the usual arrangement, an appointment needs to be set prior to using the voucher. I did just that and booked the Rapide in Las Pinas (Zapote Road) for the aircon cleaning service. That particular branch was specifically listed in the list of Rapide participating branch. I asked my uncle to bring one of my cars there one early Monday morning.
I just arrived in my office when I received a call from my mom saying my uncle went back to our house without the car aircon being cleaned. Rapide Las Pinas refused to honor the voucher.
I filed a complaint to Ensogo. From experience I know this will again take an eternity before it can be resolved so I was ready for a fight. Indeed, it took me several emails and countless calls to seemingly brain dead Ensogo personnel before the amount finally got credited back to my account.
I got so used to calling them that I programmed my phone to auto dial their number anytime of the day, especially when I am stressed, sometimes just to vent out my frustration even if my frustration is with my work and not really with Ensogo.
Infuriating Ensogo
Among the Groupon companies operating in the Philippines, Ensogo was the first one to earn my ire. It was quite sad as I was initially trumpeting the virtues of groupons using Ensogo as an example. For sometime, everything was going great for me, although I was already seeing a number of complaints posted in their discussion area. I shrugged all these complaints thinking these were just isolated cases until I experience first hand the kind of customer service Ensogo is practicing.
The first problem I had was with the voucher my dad bought for me. The voucher was for a Relaxing & Rejuvenating Massage at the Confetti Spa & Salon. When I was about to redeem the voucher, I tried calling Confetti. To my utter disgust, the contact number provided is no longer in service. I tried searching the internet for the contact number of Confetti to no avail. The next port of call will of course be Ensogo. I tried calling all the three numbers provided in Ensogo website. These numbers can easily be reached provided one calls before 9:00 AM. A recorded voice will answer the caller asking to call back after 9:00 AM. I followed the instructions and called after 9:00 AM. I was probably after a hundred tries when I finally got someone on the end of the line. The lines seems to be either eternally busy or nobody is manning it as it just continuously rings until the busy tone. I thought that was the end of my problem. Boy, I was so wrong!!! I was given an email address and I was told to file my complaint there. An alternative was to file my complaint using the Ensogo website. I was fuming mad at this point as I already used up so much time trying to contact Ensogo and now I have to start all over again.
I filled up the complaint form in the Ensogo website and sent an email to the email address address as well, detailing my frustration. I got an auto email saying my concern will be looked into with certain number of hours. More than 3 days have past and nothing came from Ensogo. I was concerned, Ensogo has gone belly up. When I checked their website, it was still there. It was pure incompetence that I have not received a reply. I followed up my email almost on a daily basis. I also called a hundred time or more and have spoken to several of their incompetent customer relations people but no end seems to be in sight. One time I asked the lady I was talking to to pass me to their boss because I will not go away until I get what I want. I was passed to a guy named Roman or something who assured me my voucher will be re-imbursed soon. I actually told him that since they were not able to provide me with the service, the reimbursement should be doubled as it was stated in their website that we can find a cheaper deal, they will reimburse twice the amount. Well, getting nothing while paying for something is always infinitely more expensive.
Suffice it to say, I did not get what I want. It took several more weeks and several more calls to Ensogo before I finally got my reimbursement. If this is the kind of customer service being offered by this groupon company, I firmly believe they have no place in this emerging industry.
